This small paper proposes an integrated approach of staff development and research as an instrument for institutional change. It was presented in a meeting of six collaborating conservatoires (the innovative conservatoire - ICON).
Musicus worden vraagt dagelijkse oefening. De discipline van de herhaling slijpt het ambacht langzaam in. Zo bouwen we goede gewoontes en scherpen we onze oren. De houding, het zelfbeeld en het groeien van de persoonlijkheid resoneren daar in mee. Een lange adem brengt het gewenste resultaat: oefening baart kunst. Een van de fundamentele pijlers van het kunstenaarschap van de musicus is de kunst van het studeren.
