On the lectorate Artistry21- Connecting Conversations
What is de role of the artist in 21st century society? Interaction with the audience, innovative programmes, initiatives in education, interdisciplinary works, the use of old and new media: society seeks new, meaningful connections. Alongside performance, artistry in the 21st century is also about interaction, dialogue and encounter. The lectorate Artistry21 researches and develops ‘Connecting Conversations’ both for and with teachers and students at the Royal Conservatoire, as well as internationally in a network of collaborating conservatoires, and in the field of work in connection with old and new partners in the world of professional practice.

Kunstlectoren doen op allerlei gebieden […]
One-to-one instrumental and vocal tuition lives through the combined worlds of music making and conversation. Students and teachers move between playing/singing and talking during lessons, and whilst the use of these different modes of communication varies from student to student and teacher to teacher, it is virtually impossible for the two not to be entwined. “What is artistry?
Ask ten teachers what they understand as artistry and you will get ten different answers. Some of them will state that ‘either you have it or you don’t have it, and that is is almost un-teachable, un-learnable. Others will articulate the complete opposite: ‘each of us has artistic potential, but this potential is […]

“Wil je die toelichting snel herschrijven? Graag minder de droge feiten en meer human interest! En ik heb een nagesprek geregeld bij het concert. Waarom?
